Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of paid advice services (“Services”) by The Housing Advisor (“the Advisor” or “The Advisor”) to clients (“Client” or “Clients”) seeking housing-related guidance in the United Kingdom (“UK”).
1. Scope of Services:
- The Advisor shall provide housing-related advice and consultancy services to the Client as agreed upon between the parties.
- The Services may include, but are not limited to, advice on rental agreements, landlord-tenant disputes, housing regulations, and strategies to achieve successful housing-related results.
- The appointments, terms and conditions apply for community advice and larger proejcts
2. Client Responsibilities:
To assist the Advisor in providing tailored advice and to explore potential solutions, the provision of accurate documentation is important for the discussion. Examples of these are:
- Tenancy Agreements: If you have access to this.
- Evidence of Homelessness or Housing Issues
- Eviction Letters: If you’ve received eviction notices, they help advisors understand the context and urgency of your housing needs.
- Correspondence with Landlords or Housing Authorities: E-mails, letters, or other communications, as these documents can provide insights into ongoing disputes, maintenance issues, or other concerns.
- Letters from Others: Sometimes, third-party letters can support your case.

- The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information relevant to the Services requested.
- The Client acknowledges that the Advisor’s advice is based on the information provided and may not cover all possible scenarios or legal nuances.
- If The Advisor cannot satisfy your questions within the timeframe allocated, you will need to schedule a follow-up appointment to complete the session.
- The selected service is for one Client per booking.
- If The Client requires an interpreter because English is an additional language, The Client must arrange one independently to help with the call.
3. Payment:
- The Client shall pay the agreed-upon fee for the Services prior to the commencement of the consultation session.
- Payment methods accepted by the Advisor are handled by WooPayments (a secure payment system).
4. Cancellations:
- Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours beforehand. Refunds will be issued for cancellations made within this timeframe.
- Failure to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours will result in forfeiture of the appointment fee.
- Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior cancellation or rescheduling will result in forfeiture of the appointment fee.
- While you are welcome to bring one support person to your appointment, please limit it to ensure clear communication and minimise stress during the process.
- If you do not attend your appointment without canceling or rearranging or arrive too late to the appointment – we cannot give a refund. We allow a maximum of 10 minutes waiting time before an appointment is cancelled.
5. Confidentiality:
- The Advisor shall maintain the confidentiality of all information shared by the Client during the consultation, except as required by law.
- The Client acknowledges that communications over electronic mediums (e.g., email, video calls) may not be completely secure and agrees to bear the associated risks.
6. Limitation of Liability:
- The housing advisory services provided by TheHousingAdvisor.com are based on the advisor’s expertise and experience within the housing sector. It is important to note that while the advisor may provide guidance and assistance related to housing matters, including but not limited to landlord-tenant disputes, housing repairs, and eviction or homelessness concerns, such advice does not constitute legal advice.
- Therefore, The Advisor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the advisory services, including but not limited to any reliance placed on the advice provided. This limitation of liability extends to any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses incurred by the client or any third party.
- Clients are advised to seek independent legal advice from a qualified legal professional for any legal matters or concerns related to their housing situation. By engaging with the advisory services provided by TheHousingAdvisor.com, the client acknowledges and accepts the limitations of liability outlined herein.
- The Client agrees that the Advisor’s liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for those Services.
By booking a service the Client accepts that the TheHousingAdvisor.com is not responsible for the outcome of the case based on the advice given.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8. Amendments:
- The Advisor reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any such amendments shall be effective immediately upon posting on the Advisor’s website or communicated to the Client via email.
9. Entire Agreement:
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
- By engaging the Advisor’s Services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
